Ozone Wash

ozone_backOzone cleaning technology is revolutionizing commercial laundry, and in midcoast Maine, only Clean Bee has it.

Our high-tech generator injects ozone directly into the wash water, and the results are fabulous. Laundry comes out cleaner, softer, and more sanitary. It smells fresher and lasts longer. And the laundering process is better for the environment.

We use our ozone equipped washers whenever possible for both commercial accounts and self-service/coin-op. If you’ve got a lot of laundry to do, check with us to see if Thing 1 or Thing 2 are available for you. Ozone is great for down and non-down comforters, mattress pads, sleeping bags – even dog beds!

After a thunderstorm when the air smells fresh and clean; what you are smelling is Ozone. Ozone is a naturally forming gas comprised of three oxygen atoms. It is short lived and breaks down into harmless oxygen, making it much safer than chemical disinfectants. Ozone is a solution for safe, effective sanitation with powerful disinfection properties, eliminating pathogens, pesticides, virus, fungal spores, bacteria micro-organisms and harmful chemicals. Ozone is most effective when it is continuously in contact with linen in the wash process.

Ozone allows us to wash in colder water, which drastically reduces energy use. Ozone activates the wash water, so less overall water and chemicals are required. Clothes coming out of our ozone wash retain less moisture, which reduces dry time as well. Laundry washed with ozone feels softer, smells better, and is more absorbent than laundry processed in hot water and harsh chemicals. Because wash and dry cycles are shorter and more effective, there’s less wear and tear, so fabrics last up to 20% longer.

Germs don’t stand a chance in the area’s only hospital-quality commercial laundry. The patented technology in our ozone injection system is guaranteed to kill 99.999% of the “superbugs” MRSA (staph), C.diff and Aspergillus niger. It also destroys E.Coli, HIV and all strains of hepatitis.
